This contract position is based in Sydney, offers hybrid working options, and supports a high‑visibility IFS Cloud implementation for a leading field‑service organisation. As the Test Lead you will own the end‑to‑end testing strategy for the migration from ClickSoftware to IFS Cloud, working closely with the client, IFS product vendor and Wipro delivery teams.
Design and execute a full‑stack test strategy covering data migration, functional, integration, performance and UAT across both Agile and Waterfall phases.
Lead a blended testing team (client, Wipro, IFS), allocate work, mentor junior testers and enforce consistent testing standards.
Collaborate with business analysts, developers and project managers to translate requirements into test cases and validation scripts.
Manage test execution (manual and automated), capture results, and drive defect resolution through JIRA/HP ALM with IFS and Wipro development teams.
Oversee data migration validation, define ETL mapping, write SQL checks, and verify data integrity between ClickSoftware and IFS Cloud.
Identify testing risks early, propose mitigation actions and keep senior stakeholders informed with clear status reports.
Produce comprehensive documentation, including test plans, traceability matrices, defect logs and final sign‑off artefacts.
5+ years of experience leading testing efforts on large ERP or FSM implementations, preferably with a migration component.
Hands‑on expertise with IFS Cloud or ClickSoftware functional modules and data migration concepts.
Strong command of test management tools (JIRA, HP ALM) and test automation frameworks.
Advanced SQL skills for data validation and troubleshooting.
Demonstrated ability to work in both Agile and Waterfall delivery models.
Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills; comfortable liaising with senior business and technical leaders.
Bonus: familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and DevOps pipelines.
Competitive daily rate translating to $120‑$140k annualised, reflective of contract market rates in Sydney.
