We’re looking for a senior software engineer to join our fast‑growing product team in Sydney. You’ll be building the next generation of our web platform, shaping architecture and delivering features that serve thousands of users daily. The role sits at the heart of a tech‑first company that values craftsmanship and rapid iteration.
Design, develop, and ship high‑performance front‑end components using React and TypeScript.
Architect, implement, and maintain scalable back‑end services on AWS, leveraging services such as Lambda, ECS, and RDS.
Write efficient, well‑indexed MySQL queries and optimise database schemas for reliability and speed.
Lead code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior engineers.
Collaborate with product, design and QA to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Own CI/CD pipelines, automating build, test and deployment processes.
Monitor production systems, troubleshoot incidents, and drive continuous improvement.
5+ years of professional software development experience.
Deep expertise in React (hooks, context, performance optimisation).
Strong hands‑on experience building, deploying and managing services on AWS.
Proven ability to design, query and optimise MySQL databases.
Solid understanding of modern JavaScript/TypeScript and RESTful APIs.
Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and automated testing.
Desirable: familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes, GraphQL, or serverless architectures.
